The rumors about British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s coming to Bangkok have proved real.

For those who are not familiar with the name, Oliver is the personality behind numerous cooking shows, including The Naked Chef, his debut show which launched a UK bestselling cookbook, along with one of the country's best-known TV personalities.

Known for fusing British and Italian cuisine, the chef now holds five restaurant brands, including the massive chain Jamie’s Italian—the brand which will be opening here.

You'll be able to find it in the newly renovated Siam Discovery, though for now we can't reveal any opening dates. We can give you some info on what to expect, though. The space will be industrial, chic and casual, offering comforting Italian fare like pasta, pizza and antipasti—a sharing board of cured meat, cheese and pickles, served his style.

Do stay tuned to BK as we hear there might also be a more upscale opening from Jamie to follow, somewhere high up on Sathorn.
