One of our favorite bars is waving goodbye. We're very, very sad about it.

After the announcement of Overground calling it a day there's more sad news for Bangkok's live music scene: Moose Bangkok is closing down.

The wooden retro-chic bar from the team behind the now-defunct Cosmic Cafe and Sonic Ekkamai posted details of their farewell event on Facebook last week, though no official statement has been given from the team about reasons for closing down.

The bar will be bidding farewell with a party on Jul 31 featuring live music from Yellow Fang, Plot, Fwends, Glow Clw and The Blackcodes. Entry is B200 (includes one free drink) with performances running between 7:30pm-midnight. There also promises to be an after party with DJ Kova O' Sarin that'll go on into the early hours.

Since its launch in 2012, the bar has hosted some of the most intimate and memorable gigs we've ever attended in its easy-going, vintage loft setting, ranging from local names like Apartment Khunpa, Yellow Fang and Greasy Cafe to international artists Pete Doherty and Braids.
