BK Weekend: What's on in Bangkok this Jun 23-26
Hotel Art Fair, the European Film Festival, Jam's 4th birthday, the return of Speedy Grandma, Dudesweet, Trasher, jazz at The Commons—this is one big, big weekend.
The American DJ and producer, best known for his hit "Funky Vodka" and "Don't Stop the Party ft. Pitbull," returns to Bangkok with his best bass-heavy electro house tracks.

Artist Yuree Kensaku has spent the past four months transforming the walls of the gallery into a large scale mural depicting an alternative universe with eccentric characters depicting her hopes and fears in a colorful and surreal style.

Culture Collective Studio and director Loni Berry presents an adaptation of Ira Levin's 1978 play that holds the record as the longest running comedy-triller on Broadway. The play is a highly self-referiential story about a Broadway playwright struggling to overcome a creative dryspell until he receives a thriller screenplay from one of his students. Tickets are B800-1,000.

Director Thanaphon Accawatanyu, who won the Best Script award last year at the Bangkok Theater Festival, along with the Splashing Theatre troupe presents a dramatic mystery following a family after their son suddenly disappears. Tickets are B450.

Discuss the power and potential for design on a global level and its role in humanity and the enviroment. The panel includes Viria Vichit-Vadakan, Director of New Business Development for Learn Education, SoMa SoM, Director of S.P.S. Gems & Jewellery Co.Ltd, and Sali Sasaki, Regional Advisor on crafts & design for the British Council (East Asia).

The British DJ who has performed at the likes of Glastonbury and Sonar Festival spins his best house tracks that feature elements of garage, dubstep and grime.

Despite the controversy of their last event, the Trasher party team are back, this time teaming up with Sing Street for a night music dedicated to the 60s-90s including disco, soul, eurotrance hits from the likes of Abba, Whitney Houston, Kylie Minogue, Beyonce, Rihanna and Britney Spears.

The Dudesweet party team throws a horror-themed party based around the movie The Conjuring, with the second floor playing exorcist rock and indie tunes while the third floor 60s-70s oldies, punk, funk and pop.

The international competition looking for the world's best DJs lands in Bangkok along with past champions DJ Byte and Shintaro. They'll both be performing along with six local contenders.

Taipei-born artist Nana Chen presents a series of photographs capturing Chinatown at night.

Artists Evan Dawson and Paige Phillips, along with a team of performers, present an art installation using fabric to create a pop-up space where the audience will be enclosed with the performers as they perform a surrealistic piece using kaleidescopes, sculptures and light to create a new world.

In the occasion of World Refugee Day, the Bangkok Art and Cultural Center hosts a free screening of Philippe Falardeau's 2014 drama starring Reese Witherspoon which follows a group of Sudanese orphans on a difficult journey to a refugee camp in Kenya. The screening will be accompanied by a photo exhibition capturing refugee life as well as talks by guest speakers.

Sanamluang Music School and Rockademy joins forces for this event combining music and shopping. Taking on the live stage are acoustic pop singer Singto Numchok and acoustic jazz band Hers.

An exhibition which takes the best artworks from the city's top galleries and independent artists, including Serindia Gallery, H Gallery, Atta Gallery and Gallery Ver, and brings them to display inside designer hotel rooms as part of a mobile art exhibition. This year's highlight includes a live drawing performance by Douglas Diaz and celebrity guest curators, Sutima Sucharitakul and Jitsing Somboon, who will also be showing their private art collections.

The biggest sneaker market in Thailand promises many street fashion brands selling new and second-hand sneakers, plus an exclusive rare sneaker exhibition and a sneaker live paiting session by the bass guitarist from rock band Paradox with revenues donated to the Phlook Loei initiative that is dedicated to planting trees in the Nan district. A two-day event dedicated to screening short films, ranging from global classics to new independent works, with the first day covering styles of fiction, documentary and experimental and the second day screening mockumentary, fiction and rough.

In order to celebrate it's 100th birthday, The Bangkok Train Sation hosts a whole day of traditional shows including the ranad show Hom Rong as well as stand up comedians and plenty of live music. There also promises to be an exhibition detailing the grand history of the station along with State Railway Thailand's 114 years of history. The highlight, however, is the showcase of four old locomotives that have been refurbished with new carriages.

Latin guitarist Clark Berger performs a set performance that includes flamenco, classical, jazz, blues and celtic tunes, all set in the moody vibe of the secret bar.

The community mall's weekly jazz afternoon returns for its fourth edition, this time featuring music from Pisut Pratheepasena on the tenor sax along with surprise special guests.
