Thailand's coolest indie music camping festival returns this winter
Surprise, surprise, the winter festival season is heating up.
First came the announcement that Wonderfruit will return this Dec 17-20 (phase 1 lineup coming soon at www.fb.com/wonderfruitfest). Then it was Big Mountain's controversial move to a new venue at Kaengkrachan Country Club, Phetchaburi, also scheduled for the same weekend (Dec 19-20).
And this just in--the organizers of Thailand's only independent music festival, Stone Free Music Fest, have announced a comeback this year, after a short break last year. This will be the fourth edition of the fest, scheduled for Dec 11-13 at Khao Wong, Saraburi.
If you're a fan of Psych-Out Music Fest, Keep On The Grass Folk Music Fest or even Noise Market, here's one not to miss. Though there's no word yet on which artists will be taking to the grassy, open-air stage or ticket prices, past experience should tell you to expect plenty of indie artists (everyone from from Stylish Nonsense and Yellow Fang to The Sticky Rice and Abstraction XL). Earlybird tickets are B1,000. General tickets at B1,500.
For an idea of what to expect, here's Yellow Fang's performance at Stone Free Music Festival 3.
