New Thonglor art space to launch with landscape architect's retrospective
While the much-hyped photography fest PhotoBangkok 2015 launches this Jul 29 at the BACC, that's not the only thing happening this week in the Bangkok art scene.
Making its debut this Jul 29 before the long weekend is Schemata Gallery.
Located on the first-floor of Thonglor's Liberty Plaza, the gallery is launching its first exhibition at 6pm, featuring the work of T.R.O.P (terrain + open space) Landscape architectural design studio's Pok Kobkongsanti.
A graduate from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, Pok is regarded by many as one of the best landscape architects in the country. His studio is the mastermind behind iconic projects around Thailand like the Hilton Pattaya, Casa De La Flora, many of Sansiri's residential projects and CentralWorld's Zense Gourmet Deck and Lounge, to name a few.
Hand Drawing Retrospective Solo Exhibition is a compilation of the architect's private drawings over 10 years of his career. He's also recently embarked on a project in Malaysia, in collaboration with RSP Architects and Yoo by Steve Leung.
Given the exciting premiere exhibition, we're expecting great things from this art space.
