An exciting new craft beer arrives in Bangkok
A brotherly craft beer battle is brewing up nicely in Bangkok.
The folks behind Smiling Mad Dog Co., Ltd., who already import popular craft beers like BrewDog and St. Bernardus have just welcomed a another exciting label to their roster, well-known gypsy brewery Evil Twin Brewing.
Interestingly, owner Jeppe Jarnit Bjergsø is the brother of Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, who you might know as the guy behind that other famous gypsy brewery Mikkeller. The pair started their career together before heading their separate ways to launch their own breweries.
Originally from Copenhagen, Evil Twin has now settled in Brooklyn, NY. It's since gained global popularity and even produces limited edition brews for renowned restaurants like Denmark's Noma and American chain Momofuku.
“Evil Twin is on the front row when it comes to brewing. Their process and ingredients are always new and exciting. They’re really one of the top ten craft beer makers in the world and we’re very lucky to get the opportunity to import their beers,” says Kan Navikapol, part-owner of Smiling Mad Dog.
Who'll come out on top in this brotherly craft beer battle? Try for yourself by sampling the following Evil Twin drops, which will rotate monthly:
Even More Jesus: Imperial Stout
Imperial Biscotti Break: Imperial, Porter
Femme Fatal Brett: Belgian style
Yin & Yang: Black IPA
Falco: IPA
You can sample them at Beerology, Beerosophy, HOBs, Brew Beers & Ciders, Niche Cafe, Niche Beer Ville and White Beer’d at the Crystal Design Center or try www.wishbeer.com.
