New urban venue serves up coffee and artisanal sandwiches by day and a bouncing bar by night.

After recently welcoming Perfume and Flann O’Brien's, Eight Thonglor now introduces a member, Harlem Shakers.

Co-owned by celebrity Krirkphol “Fluke” Masayavanich, who is also behind the luxurious The Bar & The Restaurant, Harlem Shakers goes for a younger, more laidback atmosphere with street culture as the main concept of the place—think industrial décor, graffiti and a hip hop soundtrack.

The sandwiches here are made by chef Sid Sivanandam (the guy formerly behind the much-missed Sid's Sandwiches), so you can be pretty sure of their quality. Take an easy option like the Are You Crazy (smoked ham and mozzarella, B220) or go for the real deal with the Rich Kids of BKK (Fresh Lobster and Caviar, B850).

Sandwiches are served all day while cocktails are available at night with eight signatures created by Joseph Boroski. Beers are now available by the bottle but they’re looking for more local and imported draughts soon.

But that's not all, there's also talk of branches at ABAC University and A-Square mall.

Basement/F, Eight Thonglor Building, Thonglor Soi 8. Open Mon-Sun 10am-1am. http://harlemshakers.netFacebook.
