In the run up to the announcement for Asia’s 50 Best Bars next Thursday (28th), the 51-100 list has just been released, and four Bangkok bars have made the cut.

69 - Smalls

78 - Find The Locker Room (new)

88 - The Loft (new)

The speakeasy Find the Locker Room and skyhigh The Loft in the Waldorf Astoria make their first appearance on the list, and Smalls has climbed from its previous place at 93. Teens of Thailand, a long-time favorite, dropped from its 49th spot. 

This year, the announcement ceremony will be held in Bangkok with a week of drinking events all over the city. The current count is around 40 drinking events with more set to be added. For the past two years, Asia’s 50 Best Bars had their announcement ceremony online due to the pandemic.

Last year, Bamboo Bar made it to 11th on the list, making it the highest ranked bar in Thailand, with Hong Kong’s mezcal-and-tequila-focused bar, Coa, ranking top of the list.

The latest 51-100 list doesn’t feature any Russian bars following an official announcement from the organization to sanction Russian F&B establishments from the 2022 list. To see the full 51-100 list, click here.
