One of Bangkok’s OG bartenders, Suwincha “Chacha” Singsuwan, is puting on a pet-friendly pop-up cocktail bar for three months starting tonight (Nov 18) until the end of Feb 2023.
Chacha—formerly with the group that brought us
Rabbit Hole,
Crimson Room,
Bar Marco,
Canvas before she moved to create the drinks at
Villa Frantzen—wants to create a safe space for people to bring their pets out with them. The pop-up is located behind the curtain at
Dr. Dope dispensary on Rama 4 Road.
Named after herself, the Suwincha Singsuwan bar was inspired by the very limited public space in Bangkok where people can take their dogs. The rules are that if your pets can fit through the door, they are welcome. Though, “no snakes please haha,” says Chacha. You have to clean after your pets, keep the noise down, and pets must be supervised at all times and kept with you at the table.
The bar aims to be as stress-free as possible with the drinks made by Chacha at the bar. The small menu of five signature cocktails (B350) changes bi-weekly(see below for the debut menu), with five classic cocktails (B350), simple-mixed cocktails (B250), and shots (B150).
The bar can fit 24 people standing; “sorry, we don’t have chairs,” says Chacha. Some profits will be donated to the Soi Dog Foundation.
33/1 Soi Farmwattana, 064-469-9226. Open Tue-Sat 6pm-late.
