2020 is already set to be huge for Bangkok nightlife
Wake up, drank.
The soon-to-open Four Seasons scored big when it got Philip Bischoff, former bar manager of Singapore’s esteemed Manhattan, to take the reins at its flagship bar. led by the high-flying beverage manager and mixologist, this impressive new opening is set to offer Latin American and pre-Prohibition era concoctions in a space inspired by the glamor of old Buenos Aires.

First Taipei, then Hong Kong, now Bangkok. In partnership with the Rabbit Hole team, Taiwanese barman Angus Zou is opening the third branch of Draft Land, his trend-setting cocktails-on-tap bar, at The Commons Saladaeng early next year.
Tropic City have joined forces with Sugar Ray’s Sitthan “Turk” Sa-Nguankun to launch this new cocktail bar and bistro on Sukhumvit Soi 11. Scheduled for a grand opening in January, the bar promises to serve apertivos, spirit-forward cocktails, coffee and small bites in a retro-slash-brutalist space. Add to that a roster of local and international DJs playing everything from disco and hip hop to soul and house, with the same unpretentious, fun-loving atmosphere found at Tropic.

Dry season may be upon us, but by March you can expect the follow up to the short-lived but much-loved wine bar Wet. Led by Gaggan Anand’s long-term sommelier Vladimir Kojic, Wetter promises to bring a fun-loving party vibe to “low-intervention” wines. Details are scant. What we do know: it’s likely to be in the vicinity of Gaggan’s eponymous new restaurant on Sukhumvit Soi 31.
