Two major hotel openings mark big changes for the riverside
Bringing one of Asia's best bartenders and the chef of the World's 50 Best Restaurants no.1 in tow.
The riverside is gearing up to welcome two huge newcomers: Capella Bangkok and Four Seasons Hotel (both in early 2020).
Capella will feature 101 suites and villas (from a cool B27,500/night), alongside Côte Capella, a Mediterranean-leaning opening from lauded Italian-Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco, whose three-Michelin-starred restaurant Mirazur in Menton, France, currently stands at no. 1 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list; Stella, a cocktail and dessert bar overlooking the river; Thai restaurant Phra Nakhon; and a ballroom with a river backdrop.
Meanwhile, Four Seasons promises 299 rooms (from B15,300/night), as well as modern Italian restaurant Riva del Fiume; a French brasserie and oyster bar; a high-end Cantonese restaurant; and BKK Social Club, a bar led by the hotel’s high-flying beverage manager and mixologist, Philip Bischoff—former bar manager of Singapore’s esteemed Manhattan—which is set to offer Latin American and pre-prohibition era concoctions. Both properties are now available for advance booking.
300/1 and 300/2 Charoenkrung Rd.
