FILM SCREENINGS: Cinema Diverse 

The last screening from the Thai directors’ personal selection series comes from Apichatpong Weerasethakul.  The Palme d’Or-winning director of Uncle Boonmee has chosen the 2012 Chilean drama No, which follows the historic 1988 vote by Chilean citizens for the dictator Augusto Pinochet. The film will be followed by a discussion with the director.

The Chinese theater/goth-rock band known for their intense performance are joined by support acts Jinta, The Sangsom Massacre, Voodoo Ward and Screw Driver at RCA's new live venue Bar 21. Guiguisuisui will also perform on Feb 5 at Jam.

THEATER: Dracula-Blood is Life

Director Joe Harmston presents Steven Dietz’s 1996 stage adaptation of the play that combines magic, illusion and music. The performance follows Dracula’s arrival in England, where he tries to drink the blood of two young women only to be defeated by their suitors.
