Drinks, dance floors, big names in music and a cozy space to enjoy homegrown films; all in one place.

If you haven’t made your way to Zouk in a while, let this be the reason before it moves into its new 30,000 sq ft abode in Clarke Quay. On National Day this year, Zouk is teaming up with lifestyle entertainment group Ismaya Live to celebrate Singapore’s 51st birthday with We the Citizens Fest.

The main room is where it's at—resident DJ Lincey kicks the party off with his arsenal of electro beats, followed by the smooth vocals and impeccable production of Singaporean crooner Charlie Lim. Zushan takes over just before Australian multi-disciplinary creative Ta-ku drops some of his "genre-killing" beats. Sam Feldt and Hayden James will also helm the decks later in the evening, just before the event’s headlining act, Mark Ronson, rounds things out with his signature groove of soul and funk.

The other rooms will also be open, featuring the likes of Marvin Gold, RAH (Darker Than Wax), resident DJ and familiar face Andrew Tang, and a whole slew of homebred DJs and film talents (Phuture will be turned into an intimate space to screen a bunch of local films). The festival starts at 4pm and ends at 11pm, just in time to catch some shut eye before returning to the daily grind the following day.

On top of this festival of sorts, Zouk will continue their annual tradition of holding their famed Mambo night on National Day eve, and the red-white themed TGIW night on Aug 10. More info here.
