If Fringe Festival is not your cup of tea, how about some great visual art and a spot of shopping this weekend? Returning for its second year, The ArtiPlus 2011, that’s Chatuchak Art Fair to you and me, is held on Jan 29, 10am-9pm, in Section 7 (near Gate 2), Chatuchak Weekend Market (Kampangpetch Rd., MRT Kampanpetch). The one-day “affordable art event” features multi-disciplinary works from over 60 leading contemporary artists like Attasit Pokpong, Vichit Nongnual and Kitti Narod. Aspiring artists will also get a chance to learn from the masters themselves at the free workshops. Alternatively, skip all the art and go at 5pm as there will be live gigs, video screenings and beers for all to enjoy.
