Inspired by the Kony 2012 “Cover the Night” campaign, Bangkok Student Network representatives and volunteers have banded together to organize a flash mob under the title “Light the Night” to draw attention to child trafficking and abuse issues in Thailand. For those unfamiliar with the concept, a flash mob is a group of people who gather suddenly to perform an unusual act in a public place, and then disperse just as quickly, often for the purpose of raising public awareness of an issue. “Light the Night” is happening on June 16 at the square in front of CentralWorld, Ratchadamri Rd., with instructions to be given out via a free mp3.
