The much-talked-about W Bangkok has taken little time to start demonstrating its considerable cultural clout. In keeping with the brand’s philosophy, the luxury hotel’s launch earlier this month added some creativity and exuberance to the usual glitz and glamour by showcasing the dynamic traveling art exhibition “Madonna: A Transformational Exhibition.” Featuring never-before-seen shots of a fresh-faced Madonna, in full 80s street get-up, just as she was on the cusp of pop superstardom, courtesy of Richard Corman and George DuBose, the event also saw New York street artist Alec Monopoly transform the photos through stencil and spraycan. The photos are on show through Jan 19.
