To shutterbugs' delight, the selected works from International Photography Awards (IPA) 2013 now land in Bangkok.

Photography lovers will be descending on Thonglor tonight as the touring exhibition of the noted global photography competition the IPA arrives in Bangkok at Rooftop Gallery

Aimed to promote the achievements of the world's finest photographers, as well as unearth new talent, the IPA is one of the world’s largest photography awards and open for submission from professionals and non-professional photographers.

Every year after the winners are announced, the IPA will have an reputable curator select about 50 works to be exhibited in New York before they continue on a Best of Show tour to different cities, which this time around includes Bangkok.

On the wall at Rooftop Gallery by Farmani in Thonglor are the works selected by Susan Baraz, Head Judge for the awards last year, including the “The Last Days of Barack Obama’s Campaign,” which follows the president during his final days of the election campaign in 2012, that won Brook Kraft the 2013 International Photographer of the Year Award.

The opening reception starts today from 7-10pm and the exhibition will continue until the end of March.

Due to special circumstances, the gallery is open by appointment only until the end of the IPA Best of Show exhibition. Call 087-705-6668 (Lily) or e-mail [email protected] to arrange viewings.
