Thonglor's Seenspace is set to completely change
And it's taking its first victim at the end of this month.
There have been rumors floating about that Thonglor's community mall, Seenspace, is set to be bought out by the end of June, with many of the shops, bars and restaurants expected to leave by the end of the year.
Although details are uncertain, sources say that a third-party investor is set to buy the project, who will likely clear out the current shops. Right now, the space includes Clouds, Belon Oyster & Raw Bar, Fat'r Gut'z, Bonchon Chicken, spin studio Ryde, and more.
The first to leave the scene will be the popular Brew Beer & Ciders, which has announced their last day for Jun 23. Brew is one of the main bars in Seenspace's ground floor, a community space for nightlife that was one of Thonglor's first spaces for communal drinking before 72 Courtyard came on the scene.
When it first opened in 2011, Brew was the first bar to focus on selling imported beers and ciders in Bangkok, and its partnership with brands like Beervana made it a primary player in growing Bangkok's craft beer scene.
However, Brew's owner Chris Foo hints that it won't be the last we'll see of Brew. On top of their other branch in Sukhumvit Soi 11, they may be opening a new branch close to Seenspace with a proper announcement coming soon.
Join Brew Beer & Ciders for a farewell party at their Seenspace branch this Jun 23, which promises to be a fun night dedicated to the success of their original branch. Stay tuned to BK for more details.
