Chinese New Year is here, and if you're really sick and tired of your relatives hounding you, all you have to do is gather a few friends during the holidays and sneak off. And while you're dreading heading back to the office on Wednesday, don't fret. There is lots more to do. Here's what to check out:
PARTIES

Part of Singapore history, the Chan Chor Min Tong house is open for one day only this year. Check out the old house and marvel at its significance.

Watch Hong Kong-based art collective The Parents’ Parents create two murals at Hotel Jen Tanglin. You can chill at the J65 restaurant from from 12-2:30pm for $29.
FILM
The Projector is screening Oscar nominated films like Room and The Revenant today, so you have to see them before you gear up for the awards ceremony.

EJ Missy is spinning at Kyo with Tye West, with the latter bringing his soulful sounds to Singapore from NYC.
COMEDY
Swedish comedian Frederick Andersson (who performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival) will be in town. Expect jokes from his show, titled, "The Stockholm Syndrome."
