And it's entirely volunteer- and contributor-run.

The people behind Brunch Bandits strike again with another cute, communal and delicious food event. This time, it's taking place at The Substation and involves everyone sitting down to partake in a shared national pleasure: eating a banana leaf meal. It's entirely volunteer and contributor led, with veggies coming from Singaporean urban farms.

The Curry Project kicks off at 7pm on Sep 23, at the rarely-seen third floor of The Substation. (Come anytime after 4pm if you want to help cook and set up.) The event begins with some communal cooking and discussion about various curry recipes, their place in family history, the history of spices and all that good stuff, before the group sits down to eat. From 9pm onwards, there's a set up by Home Brew Bar and a DJ booth.

Tickets are $15 on Peatix, but if you're an avid home cook, you can even bring your own curry (enough for 20 people) and dine for free with a friend. Any culture or recipe welcome. There are two seatings, 7pm and 8:30pm, and each is limited to 20 people.
