It might not triumph the F1 yet, but go-karting may be the next hot trend.

Remember the new go-karting place at Bukit Timah? Now, there's a new go-karting race here.

The X-30 Challenge is in town for its last round of races at the KF1 Karting Circuit. On Nov 21, 120 local and international karters will race around the track to claim the deLaCour Limited Edition X30 Champion's Timepiece (it's a fancy Swiss luxury watch valued at S$28,800). Although winners get $700 for the round, there is also an overall winner, which will be awarded and extra $300 in cash for each category.

The KF1 Karting circuit was also designed by Formula One circuit designer Hermann Tilke, with the track measuring 960m in length with 18 turns. The best races to catch are probably those in the Senior and Master categories, Class A, where the more experienced racers compete. The overall winner for the Senior A category gets to race in the IAME International Final (that's the go-kart race that is kind of huge, if you're into that sort of thing).

Spectators are also welcome, and you can head there on the race itself to buy a $20 pass to enter at the door. There will be a booth, so look out for it.
