We were impressed and excited last year that Sunshine Nation was able to squeeze in two editions of its brand-new outdoor picnic/dance party, Garden Beats Festival. We're even more excited to see it back again in 2017, with a solid line-up and some extra treats.

First things first, the Fort Canning picnic's mainstage will see the likes of house producers Tube & Berger and futuristic electro trio Autograf and, our fave, Ghanaian vocalist, composer and producer Ava Sante, alongside some of Singapore's favorite resident DJs, such as Julien Brochard and Brendon P, play throughout the afternoon and into the night.

When you need a break, head to a leafy tented area by the Strongbow people, which comes with lots of ciders, social art installations and a so-called Arch of Love. For something harder, there's the Deliveroo "culinary fields" where you can find tequila, vodka, whiskey, beers, wine cocktails and other refreshments. 

At other zones, you can play twister with the Guava Pass people, get floral headgear, metallic tattoos and other festival adornments. Save some energy for the afterparty at the Sunshine Nation Factory at 3 Sentosa Gateway, too, where techno duo Teenage Mutants will be at the decks.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, you can bring your own picnic food items, too. 

Garden Beats Festival is happening Mar 18, 1-10:30pm. Tickets start at $85 per person (if you get them before Feb 26). You can also get together four or more of your friends and, at $95 each, you get a picnic special involving, ciders, a lunchbox courtesy of Made Real and other goodies.
