See your parking lot in a new light.

The Urban Redevelopment Authority is holding its fourth Park(ing) Day tomorrow (Sep 16), and they're transforming 78 parking lots into fun public spaces filled with interactive activities as part of the "Our Favourite Place" program.

While the concept is not new—it was born out of San Francisco when an art and design studio decided to transform a parking space into a makeshift public park—it's been running in Singapore since 2013 when students, design professionals and community members came together to organize it as a fringe event for Archifest 2013.

This year, the city will be dotted with a bunch of various activities such as an art and music performance at Little India, an art installation called "The Float House" by architectural designers Dawn Lim and Fiona Tan at Telok Ayer, an interactive bus stop in Jurong and more. Check out the various activities that'll be happening at a carpark near you, here.
