Farmers market meets day time boozy party at Open Farm Community next weekend
There will be cocktails, yoga classes and a big ol' barbecue.
Hot new Spa Esprit restaurant Open Farm Community, which has been all about its backyard Edible Gardens farm and seasonal produce, has already done a farmer's market on Dempsey Hill. But the next edition, dubbed Social Market, is going to be even jazzier. Come Nov 28-29, the parking lot of this place will be converted into a bazaar with about 25 vendors selling fruits and produce as well as homemade jams and other treats. Look out for the food truck by Kerbside Gourmet, too.
Apart from Kerbside Gourmet, Casse-Croute will be selling cold cuts, Selva Foods will hawk their vegan friendly acai bowls and Momoco will sell unusual jam flavors like jackfruit and lap cheong. Crucycle will also hold some spin cycling sessions, and yoga classes will be available, too. The OFC people will open the bar for cocktails and juices, along with a custom-built charcoal oven at the center of the restaurant. You can order some food and chill at the alfresco space.
The Social Market runs 9am-2:30pm on Nov 28 and 9am-4pm on Nov 29.
