One of Asia’s most popular film festivals is back next month, Oct 6-14. In its 16th year, the Busan International Film Festival 2011 will continue its commitment to a variety of international films, featuring Song Il-gon’s Always as the openener and Harada Masato’s Chronicle of My Mother as the closing film. Australian films will be featured as special screenings under the theme Another Face of Australian Cinema, with a line-up of award-winning Aussie documentaries, short films and feature films. In addition to Hong Kong director Yonfan as Jury Head, this year's festival also sees a variety of celeb jurors including Japanese heartthrob Odarrigi Joe, Thai director Aditya Assarat and columnist Kong Rithdee. Also, Michelle Yeoh (The Lady) will appear at the gala as the special guest while Apichatpong Weerasethakul will also be there as the keynote speaker at the Busan Cinema Forum.
