They have two stages this time

It wasn’t too long ago when Danish pop-rock trio Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR) performed in Singapore. In fact, they were last here two years ago to celebrate 25 years in the industry. They’re coming back to Singapore for the umpteenth time on Sep 2 for their “Eternal Asia Tour 2017”, the second last stop before concluding the tour in KL.

They’ve been performing for the last three decades and have sold over 11 million physical copies since their debut album in 1991. They keep coming back to various cities in Asia because their Asian fans have helped them stay afloat in the music industry during a time of piracy, digital downloads and new bands back in the late 90s to early 2000s. They said in an interview that the "fans in Asia have always kept [them] on top", that's why they're always coming back because "the fans made it all worthwhile".

If you’re a hardcore MLTR Stan (yes, it's an official word now), you’ll be happy to know that there’ll be two stages during this tour, the main one and a B-stage that’s located opposite the main stage. It’s not entirely new—Beyonce did it back in 2013 for her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour”, and so did Coldplay—so you might have a chance of having MLTR singing right in front of you.

They'll be singing their hit singles like "25 Minutes", "Sleeping Child", "The Actor", "That’s Why You Go Away” and a whole string of other classics. Speaking of which, they’ve also recently announced that they’d be heading back into the studio to record new songs right after this tour.

Tickets are priced from $78-$168, and will be available via Sportshub Tix from Jun 27, 10am.
