[Sponsored] The inaugural Singapore Coffee Festival is happening from Jun 9-12 at the F1 Pit Building, with over 100 exhibitors and opportunities to sample brews from popular cafes like Common Man Coffee Roasters, Chye Seng Huat Hardware, Dapper Coffee and Stranger's Reunion.

But if you'd like a more in-depth look into the coffee industry, then sign up for talks and workshops at The Labs, which touches basic coffee-making techniques and discussions on the state of the industry today. Here are our picks:

Oriole Coffee + Bar

For Aspiring Baristas

Get the low-down on coffee making 101 at the The CMCR Lab (Jun 10-12) sessions by Common Man Coffee Roasters. This "classroom style" series will take barista wannabes through the fundamentals of coffee, covering essentials like an introduction into coffee origins, its different variations and the production process, latte art techniques, and how to brew a good cup of coffee at home.

For Coffee Nerds

Organized by DBS and Bettr Barista, The #LiveBettr Lab (Jun 10-12) is a series of panel discussions with an all-you-need-to-know focus on a broad range of life hack topics, like how to afford that fancy coffee habit, what you can learn from the success of specialty coffee, inspirational life lessons from women industry players and champion baristas, and the basics of socially concious consumption.

For Foodies

If sampling freshly-made brews is not enough, then you might want to check out a coffee and chocolate pairing workshop by Kakoa Chocolate. At Coffee & Chocolate—A Perfect Pairing (Jun 12, 4-5pm), you'll be tasting different sustainably made Indonesian chocolate and learning which coffee goes best with these sweet treats.

For Industry Insiders

So you think you know everything about coffee and have plans to set up your very own cafe—then learn all about business strategies, and managing numbers and figures at back-to-back talks hosted by DBS at The #LiveBettr Lab. DBS: Cash Management (Jun 19, 2-3pm) and DBS: Commercial Real Estate (Jun 19, 3-4pm) will teach you how to manage your finances and choose a retail space for your business while the DBS: Business Class ‘Disrupt’ series (Jun 19, 4-5pm) will equip you with the know-how on surviving Singapore's competitive F&B scene.

Ticket prices start from $18 for one-day General Entry passes to $43 for a one-day VIP package, which includes access to a VIP lounge, the music stage and workshops, a complimentary drink, canapes and express entry at the gate.

Limited Group Tickets are available at $44 for four same-day General Entry passes (save $7 per ticket).
