After being closed for a few years, causing much heartbreak to Thai, Japanese and farang live music aficionados alike, the jazz and blues bar and restaurant Tokyo Joe’s reopened on Oct 15 at the same location on Sukhumvit Soi 26 with a show by longtime regulars Soi Dog. There will now be live jazz and blues fours night a week from Thu-Sun, with an open jam session on Sundays. As before, the music and dining will happen on the first floor, and the second floor will have a pool table and an outdoor area for smokers. One obvious change is the menu, scaled down to a page, though its still a combo of Thai and Japanese dishes.
