Indie rock band The Jesus and Mary Chain are set to perform at the Esplanade Concert Hall on May 26 for the first time in Southeast Asia.
Presented by alternative music promoter 4imaginaryboys, the concert is expected to include old school hits such as “Upside Down” and “You Trip Me Up” (see music video below) as well as music from later albums including Automatic, Honey's Dead and Stoned & Dethroned.
The 1980s band, which disbanded in 1999, reunited in 2007, playing at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. And in 2008, the group released recording “All Things Must Pass” on the soundtrack album to the NBC television series, Heroes.
Tickets are set to go on sale for $68, $88, $108, $128 and $148 (excluding Sistic fees) on May 11.
