The annual performing arts extravaganza returns this year without much of a fanfare, but still packs in an eclectic mix of 17 productions, ranging from a ballet and opera to ice skating and gymnastics. Now in its 13th year, the five-week event is set for Sep 9-Oct 16, and apart from the usual offerings like Swan Lake on Ice (Sep 9-11), Don Quixote (Sep 24-25), and The Marriage of Figaro (Oct 8), this year sees an addition of The Blue Planet Live (Oct 3), an orchestra and choir set to the footage from the award-winning BBC documentary and a contemporary dance from a Canadian dance company, Move (Oct 10).
