Slice of the Weird: The Art of Nychos (Through July 18)

You'll be blown away by urban art and graffiti illustrator Nychos's first solo exhibition in Asia—there's a whimsical collection of artworks featuring unusual cartoon-like figures on display. The Austrian artist will also be releasing his first art book, as well as a series of collectible art figures, during the exhibition.

MATTER #nomadcart pop-up at kapok (Through July 20)

Need new threads? Local label MATTER has launched an interactive pop-up concept allowing customers to find out more about India's textile history, handcarved block prints and the dyes used in their textiles. There will also be various pants on display for customers to try before purchasing online.

The Social Store (July 5 to 20)

This global pop-up and exhibition—which has grand plans to set up 500 shops around the world to promote and preserve the works of artists and artisans of various communities—is showcasing a 5,000-strong collection of art, wearable art and traditional crafts. Everything will be on sale ($20 upwards), with part proceeds going towards the International Young Artists Exchange, a non-profit initiative that helps young talents from disadvantaged backgrounds fulfill their artistic dreams.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2014 (July 8 to 12)

In need of a good laugh to alleviate all that stress from work? The tenth edition of this festival roadshow will showcase performances from some of Australia's finest comedians, including Ronny Chieng, Harley Breen and Joel Creasey. Be prepared for a rollickin' good time!

Saul Bolton at The Cliff (July 9 to 13)

Michelin-starred Saul Bolton makes his debut guest stint in Singapore, as part of The Cliff's roster of pedigreed chefs. Expect his usual East-meets-West approach to food—the six-course dinner includes dishes like sea urchin chawanmushi paired with black truffle vinaigrette, and hard-shelled lobster with carrot curry and long beans.

Singapore Food Festival (July 11 to 20)

If you want to sample a huge variety of local dishes like satay, carrot cake and so on, you'll be spoilt for choice at this annual food festival. Art Apart Fair 2014 (July 18 to 20)
