All the way from Singapore, Heritage Race arrives in Bangkok this Nov 29. And you could win B35,000.

How well do you know your city? Heritage Race, an Amazing Race-style race launched in Singapore two years ago, will hit the streets of Bangkok for the first time this Nov 29.

The event challenges teams of two to six to spend the day uncovering heritage stories, local secrets and hidden gems along the Chao Phraya River and around Bangkok's Old Town. Kicking off and finishing at Saranrom Park (between Rachini and Charoenkrung roads), teams can expect a day of running, eating and exploring as they race to collect stamps from 17 designated check-points and complete various challenges along the way (spread out over up to 3km).

It's all for a good cause as well--all proceeds will go towards the Goodwill Group Foundation which empowers disadvantaged Thai women. The event is sponsored by hotel giant Accor Plus, with the involvement of local travel industry startups like Local Alike, WebIntravel, Asian Oasis and Coin Back.

The winning team will take home US$1,000 (B35,670) along with additional travel prizes. The second place-winners will receive US$700 (B24,969) and the third, US$400 (B14,268)

Registration is USD20 (B713) at www.heritagerace.com.
