STARTING TONIGHT: hip rooftop hangout Lepark is having a slew of fun events
Including but not limited to a car boot sale and a film screening with hammocks
Rooftop hangout Lepark's still buzzing with cool events and starting tonight, the indie hotspot is hosting a back-to-back poetry reading, a car boot sale, a DJ session and an arthouse film screening.
Veteran spoken word poet Marc Nair (The Poet of Unlove) waxes lyrical, with Tim De Cotta on bass—catch him before he jets off to Amsterdam for a showcase of Singaporean artists.
Come rain or shine, the event's second edition is happening from 3:00-10:00pm, and we expect plenty of bargains. The best part? It's a pet-friendly party.
Gabriele Aris of POP Studio will be spinning for the very first time, so be kind, grab a beer and unwind.
Impress your date with an arthouse movie screening under the stars. Film community Reelak will be showing Isreali drama Footnote, a Best Screenplay winner at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. It revolves around a troubled father-and-son relationship, so be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster ride. The best part? There are hammocks for maximum cuddles. Early bird tickets start from $8 (minus drinks) here.
