January through March every year is grape harvesting season at most wineries around Khaoyai. Mar 2 sees Village Farm, a French-country-style winery in Nakhon Ratchasima, host its harvest night (from 5pm onwards). Entry is B1,900 per person, which includes cocktails, dinner, grape picking and the chance for getting in on some grape stomping, along with live classical music. Even if you’re reading this after the event, the winery makes for a good getaway destination to breathe in the fresh air, sip local wines and even stay overnight in one of its lodges. 103 Moo 7 Thaisamakkee, Wang Nam Keow, Nakhon Ratchasima, 044-228-407/8, 044-760-020, [email protected]
