Although the lineup isn’t quite Tomorrowland—or even the actual Ultra Music Festival—Bangkok’s Road to Ultra still gives local EDM heads an excuse to rave at BITEC Bang Na, with expanded capacity due to popular demand. If you’re totally new to the scene, here's what to expect Jun 12.
ALESSO
The Swedish DJ/producer has a few platinum singles under his belt, collaborations with Calvin Harris, Avicii and David Guetta. He opened for Madonna on several dates of her MDNA tour concert, making him equally at ease with pop and house music.

Also headlining this year’s festival, before heading to Ultra Korea, is the Australian Dubstep duo Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, who last played in Bangkok during their rise to fame in the EDM scene back in 2012.

Breaking into the mostly all-boys club, this Aussie sister duo rocked the stage at Bangkok’s Waterzonic back in 2014 with their blend of pop-electro dance mixes. They’ve just released their latest single, “Hey Ricky” featuring Kreayshawn and Dev, which will be made available in Thailand soon.

The Dutch-Filipino DJ was one of the top 10 DJs in the world back in 2010 according to Dj Mag's Top 100 Djs. He’s joining Bangkok’s Road to Ultra as part of his Asian tour, which kicks off this month.
