We're gutted to report that Studio 9, one of the city's beloved riverside spots, has recently been shut down, so if you're looking to woo your boo on a romantic occasion, try these alternatives instead. Occupying the same space, however, will be a gallery-cum-coffee shop called Club Arts: Gallery by the River (69/1 Soi Wat Rakhang, Arun Amarin 18 Rd., 02-866-2143. Open Tue-Sun 10:30am onwards). Managed by Patravadi's long-time protege Anurak Praeroj, the gallery is set to open on Jan 27, with a preview of Komonlagoon Dance Troupe's piece Nominee and Once Upon a Time, an art exhibition by Kanokwan Lekdamrongsak.
