This week the Bangkok Patana International School hosts a free screening of the multi-award winning documentary Chasing Ice at their auditorium (643 La Salle Rd., Sukhumvit Soi 105. 02-398-0200) on May 9, 3pm. The film, which received the Excellence in Cinematography Award at the recent Sundance Film Festival, uses time-lapse cameras to tell the story of National Geographic photographer James Balog as he traveled across the Arctic to gather evidence of climate change. Entry is free but a collection for the Plant a Tree Today Foundation will be taken. Seats are available on a first come first served basis, groups of more than five people should contact [email protected] to make reservations.
