Catch this never before seen Andy Warhol exhibition at Gillman Barracks
Get up close and personal with the eccentric pop-art icon.
The artist who made Pop Art a movement is long dead, but his polaroids live on. The Andy Warhol:Social Circus exhibition will be held from Jan 16-29, featuring polaroids of him and his squad, like socialite and ex Mrs Mick Jagger, Bianca Jagger, modern dancer Martha Graham, front row fixture Andre Leon Talley, and many more of creatives and the fabulous Studio 59 set. It is said that these polariods inspired his large potraits, like his 1979 Liza Minelli acrylic and silkscreen work.
These images, taken from 1958-1987, were snapped up by various collectors over the years and this is the first time they are being put together for an exhibition in Asia. The exhibition will be held at Block 47 Malan Road, #01-26, Gillman Barracks from 11am to 7pm. The best part? Admission is free.
This exhibition is also part of Singapore Art Week.
