GIGS: Thai Folk: Tugsuk and Youth Brush

The gig is a part of Rumbustion, a series of creative events sponsored by Bacardi featuring DJs, live music, food and performances with a special Bacardi rum cocktail on the night at WTF. This edition features two distinctive local indie folk bands. Entry is free.

NIGHTLIFE: Go Grrrls Special Edition: Pop!

Resident DJs Maehappyair, Dookie and Cleo P of the monthly girl/boy queer indie party do an experimental night at the new High Voltage Pop-Up Club (2/F Badmotel), featuring guilty pleasure tunes, old school beats and best hits from '70s-'00s across pop, rock and electro. Entry is B100, with one free beer between 9-10pm.

FAIRS: Visit Japan Fit Travel Fair #7

The fair attracted a massive crowd at the end of last year at Siam Paragon with its winter edition, offering travel information, deals for flights, hotels and rail passes, plus travel consultation for those that want to explore Japan on their own. Organized by Japan National Tourism Organization. To be held at Central Rama 9, with live performances by local acts everyday.

NIGHTLIFE: #Hearts4Nepal @ Maggie Choo's

Maggie Choo's hosts a charity night, in collaboration with the Bangkok Arts community, with proceeds going towards the relief efforts to rebuild Nepal directly via the Nepal Red Cross Foundation and the Bulldog Trust - Nepal Earthquake Recovery Appeal 2015. Expect a night of performances by acts like Alex Sypsomos, Kamp Krusty, DJ Luck-E and DJ Octo, comedians, poets, art print auctions and sales, plus food by Street Feast Chicken and Schmitt Thailand Desserts. MARKETS: LOL Market Ep. 3

The third edition of the fashion-focused fair turns into a Warhol pop-art style supermarket. This is also the first aircon market to be held in a new 1,200 square-space set up on CentralWorld's front square over the weekend.

ART: Silom/Charoenkrung Mid-Year Gallery Hopping Night

Bangkok art junkies’ favorite event is back this Friday, Jun 26. The Mid Year Gallery Hopping Night this time gathers together 12 of the hottest art spaces along the Chao Phraya River, each of which will stay open later and offer a variety of special events. Thai artist Aof Smith presents his pop-surrealist paintings of a girl and a fluffy bulldog, in a style inspired by Mark Ryden and Ron English. His artworks have previously been featured in group exhibitions in New York, LA and Philadelphia.

MUSIC FESTIVAL: Primeval Music Festival

Live RCA this week plays host to Primeval Music Festival. A collaboration between underground organizers So::On Dry Flower, Dubway and L.a.a.w., the festival will feature a lineup of international and local live electronic noise-makers. The party kicks off this Jun 27 at 5pm, with drinks and a barbecue available on-site. Expect chin-stroking performances by Oake (Germany), Ena (Japan), Dragon, Koichi Shimizu and Highlag, plus lots of exciting collaborations between local acts till late. Veteran French DJ and producer Dimitri from Paris plays his blend of disco, R&B, electro and house at the speakeasy-themed club The Vault (34 Sukhumvit Soi 11) this Saturday Jun 27 as part of Sukhumvit Soi 11’s launch of The District DJ Festival, which will feature over 30 DJs.
