ART: Gallery-Hopping during PhotoBangkok 2015

The popular gallery-hopping night is back in time for the PhotoBangkok 2015 Fest, with participating galleries like Artery Gallery, Artha Gallery, Atta Gallery, Bridge, Cho Why, Jam, Kathmandu-Photo Silom Gallery, Serindia Gallery, Speedy Grandma, Thavibu Gallery and The Jam Factory.

ART: Anmom Solo Exhibition "Boys" My Loneliness Is Killing Me

Inspired by Britney Spears and curated by Trasher, Anmom’s solo exhibition will feature pieces centered on the popstar and her work. With “boys” as the theme, Anmom presents an interpretation of Britney’s lyrics through a series of illustrations, paying tribute to the 90's icon.

TALKS: Yangon Echoes: Inside Heritage Homes 

Authors Virginia Henderson and Tim Webster present their new book Yangon Echoes, an anthology of everyday life stories portraying a unique perspective of the city through striking photographs and oral histories of Yangon and its inhabitants. Both authors will be at the discussion at Siam Society, 7:30pm.

THEATER: Le Petit Prince - Mixed Media Performance

The performance is a combination of object theater, puppet theater, shadow puppet, installation art and paper cut animation background and a live performance in one of the most famous plays by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Tickets are B550, and B300 for young children. Shows run every Thu-Fri at 7:30pm and Sat-Sun at 3:30pm. There will also be a puppet workshop running every Sat-Sun at 2pm before the performance.

BOOK FEST: Salmon.Fresh to Fest 2015

A mini book festival, featuring 9 new books releases, special promotions, talk by editors and writers from Salmon and Bun books, and live music by Polycat, Ten to Twelve, V Violette, Somkiat, Summer Stop and Gym & Swim. To be held at CentralWorld's B2S from 4pm onwards.

ART: The Beautiful South: The Ugly Truth

A striking black and white documentary photography exhibition by Darkle, who depicts the reality of the Southern conflict in Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat, focusing on the Negrito tribe indigenous to Thailand.

NIGHTLIFE: Vogue Lounge and Ron Zacapa Rum present DJ Re:Flex

The Hong Kong-based DJ, who's performed with the likes of the Ting Tings and Young Guru, presents his style of open-format hip-hop, house and funk to Bangkok. Special Ron Zacapa rum promotions all night. Dress code is smart/fashionable.

MARKETS: Back to Black Market

Event organizer Ohsnap! launches a new flea market, bringing over 80 shops of black fashion collections, food and cocktail bars sponsored by JW Black Label. Some of the stalls include Sugarboost, Barbecue Deli, Pordee Recipe, Pomelo and Is.Is brand. There will also be live bands throughout the three days inside the industrial warehouse.

CONCERTS: Echosmith Live in Bangkok 

Known for their hit single, "Cool Kids," the up-and-coming indie pop group makes its debut in Bangkok in this concert organized by Feoh Performing Arts. They've also recently featured German DJ Zedd on a track from his latest album, titled "Illusion."

NIGHTLIFE: Phatfunk Drum & Bass feat. Skeptical

The monthly late-night drum n' bass party features the British DJ/producer who's signed to major drum 'n' bass labels like Exit Records and Tempa Dubstep. Local support by the collective's resident DJs.

Saturday (Aug 8) 

ART: Portraits by Cedric Arnold

A highlight art exhibition opens this Aug 8 at Soy Sauce Factory, featuring the iconic work of French-British photographer Cedric Arnold. Portraits exhibition presents an exclusive collection of polaroids from his shoots with the famous, and infamous, across 15 years of his careers, from the likes of Sharon Stone and Willem Dafoe. Sponsored by Pistonhead Lager Thailand, plus a special surprise performance on the night.

ART: Face X Exhibition

SPORTS: Bangkok Post International Mini Marathon 2015

Bangkok Post is holding its seventh mini marathon, with 10.5k 'Mini Marathon' and 6.5k 'Micro Marathon' races through the Central Business District. There's also a 3.5K 'Walk-Run for Health and Charity' option. Tickets are B250, and the race will begin at CentralWorld, 5:30am.

TALKS: Creative Citizen Talk 2015: Sustainable Now

Social innovation organization CreativeMove hosts an inspirational talk featuring 10 notable speakers in social enterpreneurship, sustainability and environmental conservation, including the CEO of Dairy Home, founder of Sal Forest, founder of LocalAlike and founder of Eco Shop Common.
