It's your last chance to visit Spring Epicurean Market
The end of the road for one of Bangkok's weekend market revivalists. We'll sure miss those bean bags.
One of our favorite recurring markets, Spring Epicurean Market, is coming to an end after two years of taking over the chilled-out lawn of Spring & Summer Restaurant on the last Sunday of every month.
With the sad news that the restaurant will close in January due to redevelopment, the final two editions of the market will be held this Sunday, Nov 22 (morning market, 8am-1pm), and Dec 13 (night market, 4-9pm).
Known for its chill, family-friendly atmosphere and artisanal food, the market's regular vendors include well-known names like Slone's, Twist smoothies, Polpa, Amatissimo and Conkey's Bakery. Newer vendors like Milkman Greek Yogurt, Burgers and Bangers by Chef Poupee, Stonewall Kitchen and Anda Tempeh will also be making an appearance at the final markets.
The year-end market will be held on the night of Dec 13. In keeping up with festive tradition, a long communal table will placed out on the lawn with festive lanterns lighting up the gardens.
The market's founders have also just launched a website dedicated to profiling the city's most interesting vendors and food-makers. Find out more about these guys at www.seedandtell.com.
