The sixth edition of the Arts of the Kingdom exhibition just opened (Dec 7) at the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall (Ratchadamnoen Nok Rd., Dusit, Bangkok, 02-283-9411, 02-283-9185) to celebrate the very best in Thai artifacts and heritage craft techniques. The exhibition features nine new masterpieces crafted by artisans of the SUPPORT Foundation, which was started by HM Queen Sirikit back in 1976 with the aim of raising living standards in rural areas. The ornate and intricate works range from an embroidered screen depicting the magical Himavan Forest to golden models of the royal barge. Due to their complexity some took years to complete. Open Tue-Sun 10am-5pm. Tickets are B150. For more information, visit www.artsofthekingdom.com/en.
