The World’s Pop-up Beach is a food and fashion fair taking place on Emquartier's ground floor space—the one that culminates in a vertical garden and waterfall. The festival kicked off Mar 10, and weekends have seen it get busy with beautiful people and families thanks to a summer terrace vibe courtesy of cute wooden shacks and trending names in mixology, dining and shopping.
Every week, the tenants change. This weekend’s theme is Koh Pha Ngan, the notorious party island, and here’s who you can expect:

1. Badmotel

The hip Thonglor bar and club is bringing over its DJs Rabbit Disco, Pound, Pichy and Ben, who will be mixing House EDM and Ibiza trance. Badmotel does food, too! Known for fusion dishes like their nam prik oong (lanna-style fried chilli paste) served with papadum or kai look koei (boiled eggs topped with sweet and sour sauce) served with pan-fried foie gras, their Koh Pha Ngan menu should be pretty interesting.

2. Cheeze Magazine

The famous street fashion magazine adored by Siam Square kids is venturing deeper into the city with its style photographers in tow. Selfies are so 2015, so make sure you’re dressed to kill if you want to be in their next issue. (And if you’d like your face projected on the side of Emquarter, try out the EM District Airlines on the BTS skywalk.)

3. Neon Paint and Street Performances

Pha Ngan wouldn’t be Pha Ngan without a neon face paint workshop. (If that’s just too embarrassing for you, you can also go wild on some T-shirts.) Once you’re all kitted out, get ready for a thunderous live street performance from bucket drummers (curated by Bottles of Beer, a new beer shop on Sukhumvit Soi 34), on Apr 17, 6pm-7pm.

4. New Threads

The two pop-up shops—Vacation Shop and Another Summer Story—will be taken over by youthful, sea-friendly brands Amilcafe_panamahat, Autre, Nvenvy and Rip Curl.

5. Pad Thai Aree, Pu Pen Pu and Bottles of Beer

Badmotel won’t be alone at the stoves. Along with the legendary pad Thai stall from Pahonyothin, you can expect some fresh seafood from social networkers' favorite Pu Pen Pu. Wash it all down with a wide selection of craft beers from Bottles of Beer.
