[Sponsored] It’s hard to believe it, but it’s been a year since Timbre+ arrived on the scene and changed the way we see food halls. The urban gastropark upped the ante with restaurant-quality food, craft beer and live music; and they’ve even provided a platform for up-and-coming F&B entrepreneurs with their incubator units. As they turn one, Timbre+ will be hosting a series of events that will spice up your April evenings. Here’s what to expect.

A good old fashioned backyard boil

The anniversary celebrations kick off on Apr 7 and 8 with Dancing Crab Shack’s Crawfish Party, a backyard boil in the Timbre+ courtyard. Live crawfish and the local favorite chili crab will be on offer with deals on craft beer buckets. The New Stream Brass Band will be bringing their New Orleans-style sound to the occasion with a set list that spans jazz, Latin, traditional New Orleans brass and more. Make advance bookings via Chope and you’ll enjoy exclusive discounts.

The ultimate team building activity

Next up on Apr 13, the best and brightest companies based in one-north will compete in the Thirsty Games, a series of challenges including hot sauce eating, speed drinking, beer pong and a pub quiz. If your company is located in the one-north area, you can register a team of five (registration costs $25, but you’ll get that money back in Timbre+ F&B vouchers). If you come out tops at the Thirsty Games, your reward will be a private party for 50 people at Timbre+.

A feast for barbecue lovers

Happening on Apr 14 and 15, Skewer Supperclub is jointly hosted by Big Bern’s American Grill, Iskina Cebu and Kush. As its name suggests, meat on sticks is very much the order of the day here; you can expect grilled delights like barbecued baboy (pork belly), paa sa manok (whole chicken leg), foie gras with smoked salt, mid-wings with salted egg aioli and cheesesteak skewers.

Pop-ups with exclusive dishes

Big Bern’s gets in on the action again on Apr 21 and 22, joined by Teppei Daidokoro and Food Anatomy with pop-ups in the courtyard. Look forward to a variety of dishes that don’t appear on their regular menus such as soft boiled truffle flavored egg, mini fluffy rainbow pancakes and salted egg prawn cube poppers.

The perfect family day out

Not forgetting the young ones, Apr 22 is Family Funday at Timbre+. There’ll be activities for the whole family including face painting and balloon sculpting; not to mention special appearances by a T-rex mascot. Kids can also create their very own felt rag dolls at an arts and crafts station, play carnival games like Milk Can Toss and Shoot the Duck, and experience a Free Play Zone—a unique sensory play area.

A cider-fueled cookout

Three weeks of parties and special events simply isn’t enough; the Timbre+ anniversary festivities hit full stride from Apr 24-29 with Strongbow Week. Strongbow will be launching their new Dark Fruit cider here and you can be among the first to savor the blackcurrant and blackberry infused beverage in an urban apple orchard set up for the event. The celebrations conclude in style on Apr 28 and 29 with the Strongbow Cider Cookout in the courtyard; a garden barbecue party presented by Garcons Express, The World Is Flat and Vatos Express. They’ll be dishing out barbecued chicken thighs, open fire roast beef sandwiches and Korean beef brisket banh mi to pair with Strongbow’s Dark Fruit while you groove to live music.

All-month birthday promos

Timbre+ has a pair of promotions that run throughout their birthday month. Spend at least $21 in a single receipt at Bottle Shop and you can have a go at their ring toss game. Prizes from Bottle Shop and participating food partners are up for grabs. On top of that, participating food partners will also be giving out secret codes to patrons who visit from Thursdays to Saturdays this month, with a variety of deals available to whoever asks for them.
