7 gigs in Singapore that'll take you back in time
Talk about a throwback...
We could barely contain our excitement after learning that Foals and Sigur Rós will be coming to town for Neon Lights 2016, but that weekend in November is still a few months away. Fortunately, we have no shortage of nostalgic concerts to hit up before then. Here are 7 gigs that will take you back a century or two.
This legendary American alt-rock band is back in town, and you can expect one heck of a night, from classics of our time like “Say It Ain’t So”, “Buddy Holly” and “My Name is Jonas” to new material from their fourth self-titled album (a.k.a. The White Album). Tickets are $98-168 from Sistic. 8pm, Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre Level 6, Hall 601 - 604.
Led by vocalist Brendon Urie, this American band whose sound is a mish-mash of everything from pop, punk, electronica to psychedelic and jazz, will be returning with their newest album, “Death Of A Bachelor”. Rock out to latest hits like "Victorious" and "Emperor’s New Clothes"—and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a nostalgic sesh with 2005’s "I Write Sins Not Tragedies". Tickets are $98-$148 from Sistic. 8pm, Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre Level 6, Hall 601 - 604.

Seems like our little island is a magnet for rock bands this year, with the boys from this American rock quintet joining the party at the newly opened dance Club Luxi at St. James Power Station.
