What better way to kick off festivities than with a night of music and film screenings at Pulau Ubin’s charming wayang stage? Among the highlights of the evening are the world premiere of Royston Tan’s new film about Ubin, Homecoming, a screening of Kirsten Tan's moody, mysterious short film Dahdi, about an elderly resident of the island and a live performance from Inch Chua. Admission is free.
Organized by Treasure SG, Treasure Ubin is a free treasure hunt that takes place every day of Pesta Ubin. To join in the fun, look out for clues on the Treasure SG and Pesta Ubin Facebook pages (and Treasure SG’s Instagram page) that will help you find hidden treasure tags. Once you find them, upload a selfie on social media with the hashtags #TreasureSG #TreasureUbin and #PestaUbin and you could win attractive prizes.
Pulau Ubin is home to about 60 fish farms and you’ll be able to visit some of them every day of Pesta Ubin. The visit costs $15 and you can register with organizers Sea Angel on their Facebook page.
