BOOK
There's an exhibition of Singaporean comics from the turbulent days under British rule to modern times at the National Library, with books, artifacts and original art by Benjamin Chee, Cheah Sinann, Troy Chin and more. Through Sep 30

FESTIVAL
PARKROYAL on Pickering is having their own Oktoberfest event at Lime on weekdays from 6-9pm, with unlimited servings of Tiger Beer and German classics like Erdinger Weissbier and the dunkel version. More info here. Through Sep 30

ART
Once a month on a Thursday evening, ArtScience Museum turns into a cool, snazzy spot for a night of edgy performances and art, and offers a 1-for-1 ticket promotion to all currently showing exhibitions. ArtScience Late on Sep 29 sees dancers from ARTS FISSION responding to the museum's architecture in a site-specific choreography inspired by M. C. Escher’s fantastical spatial vision. Arouse your senses on Oct 6 as Baltimore-based experimental electronic musician Dan Deacon takes the stage with his unique brand of interactive live performance and music for a one-of-a-kind, exuberant experience for all.

EXHIBITION
Redsea Gallery is exhibiting work by Surrealist artist Salvador Dali and his publisher, Pierre Argillet. Check out this rare collection of over 100 original etchings, watercolors, tapestries and porcelain plates. Through Oct 5

The annual Archifest is back, with a big pavillion at Raffles Place Park, a slew of special events and, our favorite, an all-new series of Architours, guided tours through public, institutional and residential buildings done by top architectural firms. Through Oct 9

EXHIBITION
One of highlights of the on-going Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF) is Li Zhensheng's "Witness: The Archive of Cultural Revolution", an exhibition that showcases over 80 of Li's images taken during the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution between 1966 to 1976. Through Oct 29

MARKET
Head over to Kult Gallery, where more than 20 artists will turn the space into a record store reminiscent of the 1982 American coming-of-age film, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Remixed album art, deconstructed vinyl and installations inspired by David Bowie will add to the 80s vibe. Through Oct 31

FOOD
Singapore's Spanish tapas bar is on the fifth leg of its culinary tour of Spain and this time it's todo sobre Madrid. Over two days, they'll be serving seven-course meals with wine pairings. Get ready for lots of chorizo sausage, Iberico ham and other bite-sized goodies. More info here. Sep 27-28

WORKSHOP
You spend pretty much most of your week in the office, so you may as well make it comfortable. Part of  The Affective Workspace, conducted by multidisciplinary experience design studio Chemistry will explore the emotions in and around the the workspace environment. Through Oct 2

Photojournalist Wong Maye-E showcases some of her photographs taken in North Korea. Titled North of the DMZ, the exhibition will see images of impeccable state parades, citizens going about their daily lives and more. Through Oct 15

The Great Meat Feast at The Carvery

Coffee connoisseurs The Coffee Man is back for a one-night-only screening at Dutch Colony Coffee. The documentary feature follows Sasa Sestic, a man who switched careers from being an Olympic athlete to pursue one of his biggest passions, coffee, and eventually went on to the World Barista Championships 2015. ART
Cabaret-themed life drawing series Dr Sketchy is back at a new venue in Kallang. This comeback edition features Mistress Anja, a young Singapore-based dominatrix who offers "dominating services" for both men and women across the region. She'll be dressed in her usual dominatrix get-up, bringing with her a lot of latex, a lot of skin and a lot of "tools". Sep 28

FOOD
There’s a whole bunch of meat offerings from all around the world at The Carvery’s Great Meat Feast, with highlights like the Aomori rice beef from Japan, Cape Grim beef from Tasmania and a variety of roast chicken, pork knuckles and lamb. End the feast on a sweet note with their their spiced apple crumble, English trifle and chocolate fudge cake. Sep 28-Oct 22

FESTIVAL
Erdinger's Oktoberfest is back for another cycle of limited edition brews and tasty bites. A highlight this year is the unique Erdinger Barcycle, which is basically a mobile bar counter that will roam around Suntec City this month and two other locations next month. Through Oct 2

Singapore joins in the celebration of coffee on National Coffee Day. Here, National Coffee Movement is working together with Kopi Pass to enjoy coffee at 30 different cafes, who’ll be pricing their coffee at $1, as long as they’ve purchased a Kopi Pass. Sep 29

EXHIBITION
A painting focused group exhibition out at art studio and gallery Libitum on East Coast Road brings together painters who have emigrated from the former USSR. In Immigrant Arts Exhibition, expect bold colors and brushstrokes and dream-like imagery in this collection. There's a wine and cheese opening on Sep 29, and starting Sep 30 onwards, the paintings will be available for purchase as well. Sep 29-Oct 30

THEATRE
Catch the new iteration of The Malay Man and His Chinese Father, which was first staged as part of The Necessary Stage’s M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2015. It tells the story of a Malay Man taking care of his dying Chinese Father, hoping that the identity of his mother will be revealed before his father’s final breath. Sep 29-Oct 2

FESTIVAL
Brotzeit Vivocity is decking out its interior with traditional blue and white checks and bringing in some live German-style entertainment. Devour their Oktoberfest Platter which includes oven-roasted pork knuckles and beer-infused Bavarian honey ribs.
