Here's hoping this week will be less depressing than the last, thanks to a half dozen dance parties, an all-woman photography exhibition and film series (coz gurls still rule the world), a celebration of Latin American film (down with walls!), a tour through the queer art history of Southeast Asia and lots more.

CONCERT
Held at the Victoria Theatre, All Things Bright and Beautiful is a collaboration between  Singapore Symphony Children's Choir and the Singapore National Youth Orchestra where they will be showcasing  a night of mellifluous tunes. Nov 15

EXHIBITION
Avengers fans, hold on to your hearts. The Science Centre's Marvel's AVENGERS S.T.A.T.I.O.N. exhibition is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, the interactive sensory exhibition will enlist you as a recruit at The Avengers headquarters, and send you on a behind-the-scenes journey about all your favorite characters, like Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow, and Ant-Man. FILM
Objectifs will also be holding a bunch of screenings at the Women in Film showcase, which will follow the same thread of the photography exhibition. This showcase will highlight the journey of renowned film editor, Mary Stephen, along with a mix of feature and short films by other women filmmakers like Please Remember Me by Zhao Qing and Wild Women - Gentle Beasts by Anka Schmid. Through Nov 17

DANCE
Salsa Under The Stars is a monthly affair that happens at Kult Kafe, but this edition will possiblty be the last one for this year before it goes on a possible hiatus. Just like its past events, you can expect the resident DJs to spin feisty salsa, reggaeton and cha cha tracks. Cheryl Wu, who recently launched her very own dance studio, will be conducting a 45-minute bachata workshop. Nov 16

FILM
The German Film Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with a selection of heavy films that portray the struggle of its individuals. FESTIVAL
The Singapore Biennale is back after three years. This fifth edition of the contemporary art exhibition, titled “Atlas of Mirrors”, will showcase 58 different artwork presentations from 60 artists (10 of which are Singaporean) and three art collectives who were shortlisted based on their past work and art practices by creative director Susie Lingham and a team of curators. The festival is hosted by the Resident Embassies in Singapore of Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Venezuela and Uruguay, so expect a plethora of movies such as the highest grossing horror film in Venezuela, The House At The End of Time. FOOD
Christmas comes early this year as 12 restaurants team up for the largest edition of Savour to serve over 30 dishes at $6 and $12. They will launching the inaugural Christmas Food Market, which will feature food items from all over the world, including a wide variety of turkey, London roast duck, Iberico suckling pig and more.
