The Singapore River Nights and River Festival are underway, as well as a Halloween-themed movie marathon and Rum Jam.

It's the end of yet another week and it looks like there are some cool festivals in town. There's the Rum Jam, Singapore River Festival and River Nights, as well as a couple of scary Halloween events. Take your pick.

Fri, Oct 23

EAT
$100 Gourmet brings Michelin-starred chefs to Colin Buchan and Joris Bijdendijk to cook up a six-course feast at the restaurant Pollen, while chef Daniel Sia and Joris Bijdendijk will cook up a similar meal at The Disgruntled Chef for guests. Lunch and dinner options are available.

DANCE
The Lion City Lockers are celebrating their seventh anniversary with Lockdown 2015, featuring dance workshops, a live band part by the Fungkimunkees, and a dance showdown of, presumably, the world's best lockers.

FESTIVALS
The Singapore River Festival and ACM River Nights open today. The former features performances by La Fura dels Baus a Spanish dance troupe, a makers market and yoga classes, while the latter showcases art installations, a lightshow on the Asian Civilisation Museum's facade and outdoor activities in the area.

The Singapore Wine Fiesta features 82 winemakers and 350 labels, so you can pair these with cuisine from local chefs like  Malcom Lee from Candlenut and Bjorn Shen from Artichoke.

Singapore's first rum festival, Rum Jam, features caribbean brands, dinners with global ambassador Ian Burrell and a closing party.

PARTIES 
The creative collective Hyphenics is bringing down some DJs like Shellsuit & Eden to play at Brotha From Another Mutha gig in Singapore. There will be craft cider from New Zealand brand Zeffer.

Three-time International Dance Music Award winner Danny Tenaglia will be playing at Zouk. Expect some techno and progressive house tracks at this gig.

HALLOWEEN
Halloween comes early at Scary Scary Night. Wander around Bugis Street as it transforms into a nightmarish playground for scary ghouls after shopping hours. If you're too cowardly, come for the dance party and flea market after.

FILM
The Golden Village Horrorthon is screening the latest scare flicks, like The VisitCrimson Peak and Goosebumps—horror buffs, this one's for you.

SPORT
The WTA finals open today. Watch the world's tennis superstars as they duke it out for the championship.

DANCE
The Got To Move Dance Carnival is packed with many workshops featuring different dances like bellydancing and K-pop X Fitness. 

DRINK
Singapore Craft Beer Week opens today, with the launch of many new brews and tours of microbreweries like LeVeL 33 and Archipelago.

COMEDY
Laugh the week's stresses away with six comedians who will try to emerge as the champion of laughs at Fullerton's Post Bar.

DATING
Singles, there is a surprise speed-dating event at a cafe in Tanjong Pagar, with a free flow of coffee and tea.

A Rendezvous with Books is opening up its library so come along to DECK at Prinsep street. There will be some film screenings too.
