From jazzy nights to laugh-out-loud comedy nights and art exhibitions by local artists, there's never a lack of things to do on our sunny island. Here are 18 events to mark your calendar with. 

Mon, Mar 30

  • If your last-minute plans involve catching a concert, head down the Mew show, where the Danish rockers will be playing tunes from their new album +-.
  • One of the newest open mic comedy shows in town, Muddy Murphy's Laugh-In will see a string of new- and old-timers take turns on stage with their comedy routines.

Tue, Mar 31

  • Singapore-based artist Ching Kai's new exhibition Mirare plays with textures in his monochrome pieces to depict non-monochromatic colors. 
  • Jazz night at Artistry gets a little funkier with Bani Rahman and Corey Manders performing with Blue Monks.

Wed, Apr 1

  • Morocco-born Singapore-based artist Juria Toramae's works in Points of Departure showcases layered panorama and triptychs of Singapore's social and environmental changes. 
  • Party with Black Eyed Peas' Taboo as he hosts Vanilla Luxury's Wild Wednesdays launch. Oh and ladies get three free drinks too.
  • One of our favorite local comedians Kumar takes the stage at Orchard Road lounge Cloud for a night of hilarity discussing topics like politics and race.

Thu, Apr 2

  • Khairul Kamsani's new play Discord of Discourse explores language, signs, symbols and how interacting with others changes our perceptions.
  • Triple Bill of dance pieces includes work by award-winning male choreographers Sun Shang-Chi, Xing Liang and Jeffrey Tan performing Nexus, As Is and Remains Remain.
  • 20 artists from around the world gather for Dead Celebrities, an exhibition on iconic celebs (who are dead, obviously). There are paintings and sculptures of people like Kurt Cobain and Basquiat And a taco pop-up, too.

Fri, Apr 3

  • This month's edition of Blu Jaz's Good Times party sees local arist collective Dunce curating the live sets with acts like .gif, Fzpz and blankverse.
  • Singaporean photographer Zinkie Aw sneaks a peek into Singapore storerooms in Home Store-ies.

Sat, Apr 4

  • Monster Gallery hosts a silkscreen printing workshop where you'll get to design, create and print on silk screens using the block-out method. Plus, you get to take home a personalized tote bag.
  • A group of local pop and punk bands like Sign of Five, JJ and the Paperplanes and Orangecove rock out at popular live music bar for a session of Punked Out!

Sun, Apr 5

  • Sundays aren't just meant for brunch. The CAD Block Party celebrates Beer is Food's first anniversary with tons of craft suds and a triple bill of DJs.
  • Gorge yourself silly on Easter Sunday with Co.Lab by Cocotte and Artichoke. There will be a brunch cart on-site peddling favorites like roast chicken alongside Artichoke's Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
  • Cool down by a pool with W Hotel's popular poolside party series, Endless Summer. You'll get to sip on cocktails and nibble on special BBQ bites throughout the day.
